Doing it without a tour

By bus, Szwagropol charges 37 złoty each way between Kraków and Zakopane, about two hours ten minutes; Koleje Małopolskie’s early Luxtorpeda train costs 26.50 złoty (November 2026). With the bus both ways, the funicular bought online and a weekday pool ticket, the day comes to about 206 złoty, about €47, before getting from Zakopane to Chochołów, 17.8 km by road, and without the Chochołów stop and tasting.
